Montclair

Tucked into the wooded Oakland Hills, Montclair feels like a retreat while remaining remarkably close to the center of Oakland. Winding hillside streets are surrounded by mature oaks, redwoods, and lush landscaping, with homes ranging from whimsical Storybook cottages and traditional residences to dramatic Mid-Century Modern houses designed around Bay and canyon views.

At its center is Montclair Village, a pedestrian-friendly shopping district filled with restaurants, cafés, independent shops, services, and a popular Sunday farmers market. Nature is equally close at hand. The Montclair Railroad Trail begins just behind the Village, while Joaquin Miller Park and Redwood Regional Park offer miles of hiking and recreation nearby. Highway 13 and Highway 24 provide convenient connections throughout the East Bay and to San Francisco.

Montclair offers that hard-to-find balance of village life, beautiful homes, and the feeling of living among the trees.
