Redwood Heights

Situated in the Oakland Hills above the Laurel District, Redwood Heights is a predominantly residential neighborhood with a relaxed, tucked-away feel. Homes built largely between the 1920s and 1950s create an appealing architectural mix of Craftsman, Storybook, ranch, and Mid-Century styles, often accompanied by mature landscaping and hillside or Bay views.

Redwood Heights Recreation Center and Avenue Terrace Park provide neighborhood gathering places, while nearby Joaquin Miller Park and Redwood Regional Park open up miles of hiking and biking trails through some of Oakland’s most beautiful natural scenery. Just downhill, the Laurel District along MacArthur Boulevard offers restaurants, cafés, groceries, and locally owned businesses.

With convenient access to Highway 13 and I-580, Redwood Heights combines the peaceful feeling of the Oakland Hills with easy access to the rest of the city.
