Rockridge

One of Oakland’s most sought-after neighborhoods, Rockridge combines beautiful residential streets with one of the East Bay’s most vibrant shopping and dining districts. Classic Craftsman bungalows, charming cottages, and larger period homes line leafy streets, many with beautifully landscaped front gardens and original architectural details.

College Avenue is the heart of the neighborhood, filled with locally owned restaurants, boutiques, cafés, bookstores, and the beloved Rockridge Market Hall. Having attended high school in Rockridge, I loved going off campus for lunch at The Burrito Shop (chicken super burrito no cheese was my go-to!). Everything from a morning coffee to dinner out can be found within a few blocks, giving the neighborhood an easy, walkable feel. Rockridge is also a commuter favorite, with its own BART station and convenient access to Highway 24, Berkeley, Downtown Oakland, and San Francisco. It’s a rare combination of architectural charm, neighborhood energy, and everyday convenience.
